Michael Mclaughlin

I'm Michael McLaughlin, a commercial and editorial photographer based in Mayo with over 25 years’ experience working across the west, northwest and southwest of Ireland. I cover news, politics, environmental and social issues, agriculture, marine and coastal communities, as well as culture, arts and entertainment along the Wild Atlantic Way and wider western seaboard. Clients include national and regional media, tourism organisations, state and semi-state bodies and private companies. I’m used to working to tight deadlines and providing straightforward, dependable coverage for press, web and campaign use. Based in the west, I can respond quickly to stories and assignments across the region. For commissions or picture enquiries, please get in touch.

THE TIES THAT BIND

The Ties That Bind is a Rural Life portrait of harvest, skill, and community. Bought unseen and cared for ever since, the machine still returns to the field to cut and tie small patches of grain. In its rhythm are the old ways, neighbourly help, and a friendship bound by the ties that bind.
